You Don’t Want That! Finding Someone You Can’t Live Without

You don’t want that!
In a small Southern town, one of my girlfriends (dolled up in fancy clothes, jewelry with her Coach purse on her arm) asked for the Poor Man’s Special. The waiter/owner cocked one eyebrow and said, Mam (as we say here in the South – a lot!), you don’t want that.
She again repeated the order, I would like the Poor Man’s Special. He again said, without explanation, Mam, you don’t want that! She looked at him and said, I don’t? No, he said that is the back of the chicken and you don’t want that. She hastily agreed, you are right, I don’t want that.
What IS IT in a man or woman that you really want? Before you go looking, as least know what you DON’T want, and make a mental or written list of the qualities you are looking for. We all know that no one is perfect, but there are some qualities/quirks we can live with, and some we can’t. Don’t you want someone you can’t live without? Pursue those type of relationships.
Listen to your gut. Listen to your family, don’t be arrogant or prideful. You will KNOW when it is the right one, if you keep your radar on, and your eyes open and your heart sensitive, but discerning. What does that mean? If they have qualities that are long-lasting faults and it truly annoys the heck out of you NOW what will you feel like five years from now?
What will you will do when that person gets sick? Walk away? No! Find someone who will love you in sickness, in trouble and that you can trust your heart and you life with. That is worth the time. That is worth the effort. That is worth a dozen roses. That is worth washing your hair for and not eating that extra dessert or those tons of carbs. Look good. Feel good and you will attract the same. And if you think you are being used or abused, use the words “see ya, bye” before you get in too deep.
