In the aptly titled Act Like a Gentleman, Think Like a Woman, Bustillos has laid out a rational, yet at the same time hilariously pseudo-illogical rebuttal to Harvey’s interpretation of what women want.

Women, according to Harvey, are primarily concerned with things like “How to Get That Ring,” whereas the average man, Bustillos points out in her blunt, big-sisterly way, quite contrarily just want to get laid. And how’s a guy supposed to accomplish that when Harvey’s blabbed all of mankind’s deepest darkest and coached women everywhere on how to overcome them? Bustillos has generously offered up a fount of knowledge obtained after a lifetime of being, well, a woman–but not just any woman–she’s one of the sharpest, funniest women around.

Whether you’re a man sincerely interested in learning how to bag that gal, or a woman who likes to snort (with laughter) your way through a quirky read, I highly recommend Act Like a Gentleman, Think Like a Woman.

Maria Bustillos’s “Act Like a Gentleman, Think Like a Woman,” offers up witty insights that will pretty much guarantee that male readers will be able to bed certain available females. But don’t think it’s just for the guys. Women readers will laugh as they recognize themselves and their friends in Bustillos’s sharp prose. Since Bustillos is revealing what many women really want, it’s a win for everyone–guys get to date the unattainable women they never thought they could, and the lucky women get to date a guy that is armed with the knowledge of how to please them.

Since this comes from a woman, it doesn’t involve the gamesmanship suggested in other books, and men will be relieved to know that they do not have to dress like sex pirates in order to score.

Luckily for the guys, it’s short and succinct. You can read it in an evening and be striking gold at the clubs the next day!
